It registers temperatures between 50°C and 90°C (120°F and 200°F). Just place the Taylor stainless steel probe 2.5 cm (an inch) past the centre of your meat, fish or poultry, and roast it in the oven as normal. The dial will display its core temperature as it cooks, allowing you to get it exactly the way you like it.
There’s even a temperature doneness guide displayed on the dial, so you can easily work out the ideal temperature to cook beef, pork and fish to medium rare doneness, beef, pork and ground meat to medium doneness, and beef, pork and poultry to well doneness – without a recipe in sight.
